The hot shoe has a mechanism that allows you to securely lock down your flash while its 12" cable offers a comfortable working distance when setting up the flash. A 1/4"-20 female thread on the bottom cold shoe enables mounting on a flash bracket, light stand or other accessory with a matching male screw.
