Description
This is rare Karasu tengu mask for Bicchu kagura which is made by ceramic in 1950.It is made by handmade creator, and has a small chip on the right side of the eyebrow.

Bicchu Kagura is one of Kagura which is a song and dance performed to dedicate to the gods in Shinto rituals in Japan.
Bicchu Kagura is a local entertainment performed mainly in the Bicchu region of Okayama Prefecture. It is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan.
Today, it is not only a local performing art, but is also performed as a country performing art in each district of the Bicchu region, and is familiar to the residents.
Karasu Tengu is a legendary creature with a face with a raven-like beak and is said to be able to fly at will.
The Tengu is also said to be a variant of Shakauraten.
