    Description

Title: America in the World War.
Publisher: Fidelity-Phenix Fire Insurance Co. of New York
    Publication Date: 1918
    Format: Stapled paperback booklet
    Length: 16 pages
Description: This booklet, published in the last year of World War I, was produced to inspire support on the homefront. It includes a long excerpt from President Woodrow Wilson's Mount Vernon Independence day address. This is followed by sections that describe the US investments in the war in terms of men, money, food, supplies, airplanes, and ships. On the back cover there is an appeal to "Be Patriotic and Prudent" by buying Liberty Bonds.
Condition: Fair to good. The binding is tight and sound. There is age-toning to portions of the front and back covers (see photos). A small corner of the front cover is missing. The interior is clean with no pen or pencil writing. One page has a small tear (approximately 1"); another page has some creasing. Overall a nice example of a rare 100 year old piece of WW1 homefront ephemera.
